An independent research and publishing initiative examining extraction patterns in online business ecosystems and institutional structures.
This initiative is driven by a single thesis: extraction is systemic, not individual. The problem in modern business isn't "bad people" — it's systems designed to extract value without reciprocity.
Affluent Era™ provides the pattern recognition necessary to name these systems — and builds the frameworks for those who refuse to replicate them.
Affluent Era™ publishes research, builds educational frameworks, and produces content at the intersection of reformation economics, non-extractive wealth, and feminine leadership.
Quarterly working papers documenting the architectures of manufactured inadequacy, intellectual liquidation, and ethical manipulation — available as branded PDFs and web publications.
Accessible entry points to the research — bridging academic analysis with practical application for leaders and organizations committed to ethical reform.
Through Affluent Era™ Letters, two publications: a quarterly research newsletter accompanying the working paper series and a weekly philosophical newsletter on reformation economics and feminine leadership.
Frameworks for non-extractive wealth creation, ethical business practices, and sovereignty-based leadership — building alternatives to the systems the research names.
Affluent Era™ was founded by Dr. Sheri James, PhD — a researcher, thought leader, and entrepreneur whose work sits at the intersection of academic systems-thinking and lived entrepreneurial experience.
Dr. James holds a PhD in Information Systems with specialized research in how organizational culture impacts procedural countermeasures. Her perspective is forged through 15 years as a software engineer across state, federal, and corporate systems, a decade as a digital entrepreneur, and service as a U.S. Army veteran.
